5 June 2019 Seville

A cool day is expected with a top temperature barely nudging 30 degrees. After a long breakfast we walk to Plaza Nueva where we board the battery operated tram to Plaza San Sebastian. The tram recharges at each station. We wander through the San Sebastian, Parque de Maria Luisa and the Plaza de America gardens. There’s a distinct citrus perfume throughout the gardens and we see that there are groves of seville orange trees. Apparently the fruit is bitter and useful for marmalade only.
