The pilot announces
that although it’s just after midnight, the outside temperature in
Dubai is 39 degrees. After a few hours of doing next to nothing in
Dubai we fly for seven hours, arriving in Hong Kong mid afternoon.
Once again, my research comes to the fore, and we catch the Airport
Express coach which drops us off about 200 metres from our hotel. Our
eighth floor room at the Harbourview has a great view across
Victoria Harbour. After settling in, we wander about the Wan Chai
district and come across a bar showing the AFL and serving
Kronenbourg Blanc. We decide to stay there for a couple of hours
before returning home.
